The State and Federal Governments have been in the process of tightening standards around PFAS compounds (so called "forever chemicals") and contamination by them of water sources . As these standards are tightening, more and more contamination is being identified across the state, including in West Amwell. PFAS has been found at several sites in Western West Amwell including the hills above Lambertville along 179, and the West Amwell Elementary School.

Recently, Lambertville hosted a joint information meeting for their residents as well as residents of West Amwell. Click here for a link to the presentation.
